possible froggy breakthrough?

ok -- I've been doing some thinking (again -- always dangerous) and I am
wondering if we started off heading in the wrong direction! I didn't figure
out the part about the "diner" which must reference the picnic area. So,
maybe we crossed the dam the wrong way! That would make the box a little
harder to find! So, with map freshly faxed over by the Park Service, I am
wondering -- does one cross the dam from east to west or west to east?!
This could be a break through!
I didn't realize your clues were so clever! Are we on the right trail now?
Thanks! BeMa

Before you head back out there to kill yourselves again, I wanted to
let you know that the Frogshackle Diner reference is actually talking
about a real buidling in the park. Since I don't have a map in front
of me right now I can't tell you the exact name of the building but
it is called the "Frogshackle something." Make sure that you pass
the building before you cross the dam or you will not find the box.
If you want to go back and try to find box number three, I suggest
you walk straight down Vestals Gap Road past all of the buildings and
work the clues backwards. Although that may sound confusing, it is a
much shorter walk. Once you reach the house (it will be on your
right if you go in backwards) that is to the right of the fence, turn
around and then find the big tree. Pay careful attention to the name
of Robin's housing development and you should have a better idea of
what area to search for the big tree.
Break a leg!

Thank you ! Thank you! I think we were in the totally wrong place, wrong
pond, wrong dam, wrong meadow! It's amazing that we found the second one!
I think going backwards to the 3rd box is a good idea too. That whole side
of the park is a blur in our minds anyway -- this way we can actually see it
(in more daylight) and enjoy it!
O.K. We are set!! If it warms up a little and doesn't snow too much
(because I will be obligated to swarm to the Giant and stand in long lines
with milk, eggs and bread like the rest of the DC-area population), we will
try again!! The blood is pumping now (a lot less dangerous than when the
brain is thinking [wrong again too!])

---BeMa, you make me laugh! You are bound and determined to get those
froggies. Don't forget Firefly's addition to that series.
You forgot the toilet paper on that snow list! You know how we all
seem to freak out here in the mid-atlantic when we get an inch or
two!!!
Good luck, Psychomommy

I'm still in need of the 4th stamp too. We found the first 3 the day they were off planting #4.
